Speaking up for Mental Health or My Kid is The Most Awesome (pick one, your choice!)

Last week, Megan and I traveled to San Diego to speak at the Annual Conference on Advancing School Mental Health. We spoke about something near and dear to both of our hearts: promoting the idea that everyone can go to college, no matter the diagnosis.

There is no way to explain with words how much strength and courage it takes for someone with anxiety to get up in front of a bunch of adults you don’t know and speak honestly about your struggles with mental illness.

And my kid did it anyway. Not only did she do it, but she was poised and confident. I was so proud of her.

We live streamed the presentation, so if you want to see it, go to our Facebook page.

I've attached the presentation here in case you are interested!
